Long ago, across the vast blue sea,
filled with roaming clouds as far as the eye can see,
a darkened reflection of the heavens, perfectly smooth,
shining brilliantly, pure and true.
The dead of night, pitch dark.
Save for a small cabin, shrouded behind sharded shadows.
Sitting across the lake, leaning towards the water.
Accompanied by a single lantern, small and lonely.
Yet its meager light gave it character, quaint and homely.
