We’ve done it. We’ve reached the eighteenth station; the destination from which this platform got its name. Or was it the other way around?
Regardless, because of my stupendous insight when choosing a name, we will now be traveling farther away from our destination.
Yay.
Perhaps we could set our next destination as the one-hundred-eighteenth station. Or just conduct this kind of pep talk every eighteen weeks. That’s a decent amount of time on the Internet. Though, on the grand scale of things, eighteen weeks is nothing. Roughly a third of a year.
Overall, I am satisfied with this project so far. Trying to write a story unique to what I’ve written before can be rough, but rewarding when it works out. I can think of instances where a mediocre-looking prompt turned out to be great in writing. Without this channel, I probably wouldn’t have written them, because of my obsession for a grand series I’ve been developing for the past several years.
Of course, I wouldn’t call every entry a masterpiece. There’s been ups and downs, especially during times when my attention is needed elsewhere. That is to be expected.
Still, now is a good opportunity to reflect upon what I’ve written thus far, and how I could move forward from there. Some may have noticed I have a preference for sentimental stories. If left to my own devices, I would probably write nothing else.
For now, I will strive to have a diversity of stories early on in this project. When I started out, one of my goals was to explore different kinds of stories. Admittedly, I didn’t do a great job on that, since I’m still lacking on the action-genre side of things.
Well, that’s all the time I’ll take out of you for this week. To the few who have jumped on this train since the early few stations, I thank you greatly for sharing this journey. To those who may have just joined us, I welcome you aboard, and hope you enjoy the future adventures to come.
