Station 166: Lackadaisical

It’s not April 1st anymore, but close enough.

So here’s a few lines of absolute nonsense.

Although, while we’re at it, I do wonder how we established a day to celebrate pranks.

At least, that is what it has become, in the west.

I’d be curious to know what outside observers of this tradition think about such a day.

I’m sure not everywhere celebrates it, since the day does have European origins.

And now, with the hyperconnectivity of the internet, whether or not it’s celebrated, countries now have to account for it.

Account for the possibility that announcing genuine news may be taken as a prank, or vice versa.

It can be a bit tricky to navigate, at least for someone like me, who usually gets my news late.

And has a tendency to treat most information as serious at first glance.

But for some, this is a liberating day to blow off steam and get a good laugh.

Destress, work those creative muscles, and all the while take care of one’s health in the process.

For this, even as someone who is hardly satirical and apparently has a crude sense of humor, I can support.
